Funny isn't it how Australia converted from syngas to natural gas in 1971,,,, not because it was cleaner,,,, but because it was the under exploited overburden in oilfields.

Now that natural gas is over exploited and hitting big prices per unit,,,and CSG is not exactly holding it's own,or in fact available where Victoria needs it,, ye olde syngas becomes the cheap and cheerie option again,,,

When you consider lignite is way on the outer nowadays,, lignite to bce and lignite to bce to gas/oil is lignite's best chance of commercial survival.

Do you think the big power companies don't know this ?

Do you think they won't exploit the potential of their already exposed close to the surface lignite resources in the valley, and fast ?

Really looking fwd to the show of hands downtown in a few weeks time.
