A few random points not in any order

Weight gain in poultry is all about chickens being disease free so they can put on weight.

Antibiotics are used for this purpose.

CMQ product does same job as antibiotics for diseases in ailementary tract only. (From mouth to anus)

Diseases of the ailementary tract ( mainly diarrhoea/scouring ) are the primary reason for lack of wt. gain (assimilation of feed to meat)
This is major problem when poultry are in intensive breeding situations, which pretty much describes all poultry production.

Because CMQ product does not leave ailementary tract it does not end up in meat.

Antibiotics circulate though bloodstream of chook ( or pig or bullock ) & residuals finish up in meat which ultimately ends up in human food chain with all the potential problems of bacterial resistance allergys etc.

Because CMQ product only stays in gut it cannot be used to treat infection elsewhere in animal, so its use is limited to bowel infections.

Antibiotics in agricultural production are being progressivly phased out.

On a cost basis antibiotics are probably still cheaper & even if they're not the big pharma companies can reduce their prices to crush CMQ in the short term

Longer term, possibly CMQ is a good thing. but they simply do not have the marketing might of the big guys & for that reason, among others their road to profit is difficult.

    Cheers
