    Aldoro Resources intersects new, thick massive sulphide zone at VC1 in Narndee Igneous Complex Project

    The company has intersected another large, massive sulphide zone at the VC1 target, intersecting 3.74 metres of mineralisation in a single interval. The exploration upside of VC1 continues to develop, offering multiple avenues of future investigation.

    Aldoro Resources Ltd - Aldoro Resources intersects new, thick zone of massive sulphide mineralisation at VC1 in the Narndee Igneous Complex Project.

    Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) has continued to further its understanding of mineralisation at VC1 target of the Narndee Igneous Complex, 90 kilometres SSW of Mount Magnet in Western Australia, with the completion of exploratory drill hole NDD0014.

    The hole intersected the single thickest massive sulphide intercept to date at VC1, constituting 3.74 metres of massive sulphide mineralisation in a single interval, with a further 10.1 metres of heavy disseminated sulphide intersected just above that.

    Other nickel-copper sulphide intercepts are:

    • 265.75-275.86 metres - disseminated sulphide with one 6 centimetre vein of massive sulphide;
    • 277.1-277.3 metres - veined sulphide, chalcopyrite dominant;
    • 277.3-281.1 metres - massive sulphide; and
    • 281.1-281.4 metres, veined sulphide, chalcopyrite dominant.

    Flagship project

    Aldoro Resources is an Australian-based mineral exploration and development company with a collection of nickel/copper/platinum group metal (PGM) focused exploration projects and advanced rubidium exploration projects all in Western Australia.

    The company’s flagship nickel/copper/PGM project is the Narndee Project, initial drilling of the first of over a dozen targets has successfully intersected nickel sulphides, an encouraging start to the drilling campaign.

    Key observations

    Several key observations can be made from the geological cross-sections below:

    1. The massive sulphide has “broken out” of the Narndee Igneous Complex and entered the footwall basalt sequence in NDD0014; a favourable location for structural trap sites hosting more significant accumulations of nickel-copper sulphides;
    2. The basal contact has deformed to a flatter orientation in NDD0014, further evidence of a structural trap site; and
    3. The veined sulphides on the periphery of the massive sulphide are chalcopyrite dominated, supporting the interpretation of remobilisation, and metal segregation alluded to in previous announcements

    The observed mineralisation at VC1 is open to the east, west and north, offering further exploration upside as Aldoro seeks to further delineate this sulphide target.

    The drill hole results have so far defined sulphide assemblage (in order of abundance) of pyrrhotite, pentlandite, chalcopyrite and pyrite. Petrographic and geochemical analyses are now required to confirm the species, geological setting and relative abundance.

    Bulk sulphide abundance definitions (estimated visually for CV1 drill cores) has been interpreted as:

    • Disseminated, blebby, breccia, and or veined sulphide - 1% to 20% sulphide;
    • Matrix sulphide - 20% to 40% sulphide;
    • Semi massive sulphide - 40% to 80% sulphide; and
    • Massive sulphide - greater than 80% sulphide.

    Updated NDD0013 information

    Aldoro has advised that sulphide intercepts from drill hole NDD0013 were not represented in their entirety in the previous announcement. These are corrected below.

    NDD0013 intersected 11.55 metres of strong magmatic sulphide mineralisation, including 3.35 metres of massive sulphides in five separate intervals.

    Significant intersections of nickel-copper sulphides were intersected by NDD0013:

    • 265.8-270.65 metres, blebby sulphide;
    • 270.65-271.3 metres, massive sulphide;
    • 271.3-271.5 metres, disseminated sulphide;
    • 271.5-271.7 metres, massive sulphide;
    • 271.7-274.15 metres, disseminated sulphide;
    • 274.15-275.6 metres, massive sulphide;
    • 275.6-276 metres, disseminated sulphide;
    • 276-276.55 metres, massive sulphide;
    • 276.55-276.85 metres, disseminated sulphide; and
    • 276.85-277.35 metres, massive sulphide.

    Next steps

    The RC rig will be drilling at VC1 for two to three weeks before demobilising to the Niobe Project to complete lithium /rubidium resource drilling at Aldoro’s tenement.

    The diamond rig has three holes to drill at VC1, before moving back to VC11 to test an off-hole nickel sulphide target there. A deep stratigraphic hole is also planned between VC3 and VC11.

    The High-Power Fixed Loop Electromagnetics (HPFTLEM) survey is continuing, screening for deeper or very conductive targets in the VC1, VC3, and VC11 areas.
