Definately agree with that, keep posting Proofreader. While I have been involved with a number of SPP and rights issues its always interesting seeing other people's views on them and you are certainly raising some interesting points that I haven't thought of before. While I may not agree with everything, its discussion such as this that airs different views and allows each individual investor to make a better decision.

From a personal point of view I think the magnetite annoucement was an attempt to bump up the share price in order for more of the investors to take up the SPP. The additional placement that seems to be being annouced today is then a bit of a kick in the teeth. I am glad I took up the placement by selling TMR shares at a higher price last week so all this has done for me is allowed me to drop my average entry price a fraction of a cent. (and yes Proofreader, I do realise that this dilutes the value of my shareholding but seemed to me the best way to approach things given the situation).
