Hello Grangeh once again
Just started to plough through that mega article on the SUDDEN popularity of CSG/CBM.
Yes, obviously it seeems to put the point clearly that at least its the energy gas of the future and this is why lots of players are jumping on the bandwaggon.

Although QLD has lots and lots of locations for supposedly developments of GAS powered power stations now going and obviously this will eventually lead to most of Australia's energy supplies in the future coming from CBM. This is probably great because its appears to be more efficient and cleaner. The obviouse negative however is the problem of salty water and this may actually slow down developments in agricultural regions and near cities.
THIS should at least play well for CTP location away from these population factors.
BUT finally the other point not covered was obviously the significance of the thickness of CTP's say 8000sqkm discovery of in excess of 110m average THICKNESS of CBM.

Probably average thicknesses in QLD would be about 20-30m or so and they are now predicting great energy potentials there now with these thickness. So what do we say for CTP's 110m+++ thicknesses??

And a bit of giggle also about Woodside "resident expert" of CBM claiming it had little future as a fuel compared to LNG from natural gas. Says he so - BUT why so many BIG companies now are putting up BIG DOLLAR investments in so many new CBM tenements and operations even in these depressing times.

Still an excellent article with lots of cross referencing to many other possibilities with LNG. No mention of LTG however.
