Did you know that HIN is precisely 3 years behind VCR when measured using number of implants?
Some things that you neglected to mention in your post:
a) VCR's success rate is better than Thoratec's. Have you looked at Thoratec's capitalisation of late?
b) If TETS is a "crappy upgrade" then why do HIN and Thor also have plans for TETS in the future? If you had a heart pump implanted would you like a cable coming through your skin and a permanent pack to carry around?
c) VCR also had "almost 90%" success rate in their feasibility trial. There will be some drop in success with a large number of new implant centres because the error rate is always higher with new surgeons and centres, no matter what the procedure. HIN will have the same obstacle when they rapidly expand their implant centres.
