AAR has made the news;

Anglo Australian soars on Koongie drilling results

Shares in Anglo Australian soared after the company reported more encouraging drilling results from its Koongie copper/zinc project 25km south west of Halls Creek.

Assay results from a drilling program at the company's Sandiego deposit returned mineralised intersections including 71m at 5.04 per cent copper, 7.69 per cent zinc, 68 grams per tonne silver and 0.43 grams per tonne gold.

The company said the existence of the high grade (copper) core to the deposit should positively impact the economics of development.

Anglo Australian said it would release the results from further drilling in July.

However the company said the most recent hole drilling had returned mineralised intervals at depth.

The company said studies, including metallurgical investigations, continued to support a subsequent and revised pre-feasibility study to determine the commercial viability of the project.

Anglo Australian shares were up 1.7 cents, or 54.84 per cent, to 4.8 cents at 11.10am
