polling, imo, merely tests the waters, the mood of the electorate.... the rise and fall of popularity rather than voting intentions.
as such it gives a quick pic of the electorate sentiment so polling has some relevance. but, imo, should never be taken as an indicator of victory or defeat.
it used to be that a week was a long time in politics, then it shortened to the 24 hr news cycle being a long time..... its no minute by minute being an age..... anything can happen to change voting intentions and probably will - many times over during the next weeks/months.
