Yes, just an unrealistic dream Australia does manufacture steel but our 4 million tons per year pales against China's 800 million tons per year. China has killed us with kindness. Retail is a huge industry in Australia. All we are, are vendors selling goods made in China supporting millions of Chinese workers and helping to raise their living standards. If China stopped buying our minerals we would be bankrupt vey quickly. So sad really. Australia surely has lost it's way. Even some doctors are committing fraud in Australia. They love the medicare cards and bulk billing. What is the answer? I guess bring in more migrants and build more houses houses, schools and shopping malls. Let the ponzi scheme continue.
