Thank you for the quick reply, MyContacts. That was my understanding, too, so was surprised to read of this on the Lycos site which has a wealth of information about Newtel over recent years, including many postings from someone using the same "nom de plume" as yourself.
If you are interested in commentary on Newtel it is surprising that there are many more postings on that American site than on any Australian site. Some are accurate, but many are not which probably includes this one, although, to give credit where it is due, they did predict its demise long before it was suggested in Australia. It seems that American investors in the company are very upset and disillusioned about Australian companies.
