newzealanders abandoning homes?

75% of the New Zealand population have taken to the streets in a wave of protests aimed at having the New Zealand goverment ban houses. Residents of Christchurch, in particular, are arguing that the there has been far too many house related deaths in recent months. When asked if the earthquakes had more to do with the collapse of the houses and not the houses themselves collapsing for no apparent reason - of their own accord -, their response is simply that 'housing has become too dangerous and they should be banned altogether'. Other countries such as Ethopia and Eritrea have tried this no homes method for centuries and statistics prove that there has been no house collapsing related deaths because they live in the open. Concerns are mounting that the New Zealand protests could spark other nations to abandon homes and to live like nomads. Some suggest this would be very bad for western civilization, as civilization relies on domiciled populations to keep the economy functioning.
