Obviously the ASX top 50 index contains the 50 largest ASX listed stocks with the cut-off being a market capitalisation of ~$5billion (AUD).

Nexgen is not even on the ASX top 300... its been on the ASX since july 2021..

once the Canadian federal government approval is given for Arrow, nexgen stands out as a crazily under priced and no brainer takeover target and imho the Rook I project at the company's Arrow deposit discovery of February 2014 is worth many times the market cap... It has measured and indicated mineral resources totalling 3.75 million tonnes, grading 3.10% U3O8 containing 257 million pounds U3O8. nexgen also owns 49.7% of the outstanding shares of IsoEnergy.

Bullish analysts have labelled uranium the “new lithium”, betting that demand will surge, after 22 nations pledged at the COP28 summit to triple nuclear capacity while China targets a fresh supply of the heavy metal for its ballooning nuclear ambitions.Spot uranium prices have soared 56 per cent this year to $US86 a pound this week, and a potential tripling of nuclear capacity could lift annual consumption from about 161 million pounds this year to 500 million pounds in the future, according to broker Bell Potter.

hard to see the downside on this one.... any takeover cannot be done on market, it needs board approval literally.. too many shares tied in with management to protect nexgen from a cheap takeover,, a lot of uranium miners out there are not protected prom hostile takeovers and nexgen and Li Ka Shing have protected the share from dilutions and any possible unsolicited takeover attempts.

It really amazes me how Australia, or should I say Australians are blinded to the ways of the future. I believe it is currently illegal for Australia to use nuclear energy. We will slowly be left behind , and productivity will decline as a result of high energy costs , and lack there of!

On a side note , the options for nuclear are becoming broader , ie Rolls Royce for example with their Modular Reactors
