What company do you think could buy them out? Orano and Cameco are probably the standout candidates but not sure the latter would be willing to fork out $5b+ on another acquisition any time soon. Haven't seen any of the majors pursue M&A activity in uranium. It won't be Chinese money. Maybe a group from outside the uranium sector such as fossil fuels?
NexGen will be taken over at some point I reckon, but finding a buyer might not be straightforward despite the quality of the project. The price tag and the commodity narrow down the pool of potential suitors imo.
Also, when will it be in production? I think it's projected for around the turn of the decade, but NexGen don't provide timelines. So, it could still be five, six or seven years before any cashflow. That's a long time for a cyclical commodity like uranium.
