They could raise money in the UK and they may do so in the future.
It's just not a pre-requisite to listing.
There are some requirements like having 25% of the registry with a Euro/Uk address.
This is capped at 5% for JP Morgan for example, and may exclude directors...(maybe)
And there are some independence requirements at board level ... maybe this is why Andre was recently appointed.
(not sure if this is a LSE requirement or whether JPM and capital Group demanded it ?)
It may then trade as Global Depository Receipt?
So if UK investors buy stock in London, the bank or broker or market maker has to buy them back in Australia.
And as BK says, if more London investors want them, it should get the price moving higher.....
