ANY, and I mean ANY stock on AIM can be the target of shorter's whether there is an official list or not.
The only way to make it harder for the Market Makers to carry out this practice is if everyone put a high selling price on their stock, otherwise the brokers will 'borrow' your shares to , as we say, help their mates out.
This is why if a stocks SP suddenly rises after a succession of falls, folks over hear will ask if you can smell the burning of the shorter's as their profits get wiped out.
The problem is that any ANN/RNS that is due to be published will be held for roughly one hour, in which time news invariably leaks and by the time its issued, the SP has already responded...
