Nostradoomus, there's one major flaw in your arguement, Companies don't extend an offer if they don't think they have a chance of success, If as you claim FAS don't have the numbers, it'd be in their own best interest to withdraw the offer. The fact that they have extended it means they feel they are close to getting what they want.
