Anyone hazard a guess when the next announcement will come out and what could be presented?
I would guess maybe Monday? Processing plant should be complete by now, hopefully tested and operational. That should be worth an announcement by itself.
I had a look at the presentation for the Diggers & Dealers conference released earlier in the week and there appears to be some more possible reserves indicated. Likely some initial exploration done in these regions as well.
Page 23 indicates samples at Vampire of up to 83g/t. Maybe I missed it, but I havn't seen any reference to Vampire samples in previous reports. Looks like Darren has the exploration team working hard. Anyone know if the current trial mine permit covers Vampire? Its 'only' a couple of km from processing plant. Should not cost that much to truck a couple hundred tonnes over if samples indicate high grades.
Also of interest longer term, 'Mallie Look-alike geophysical signatures to Callie and large geochemistry amomalies along strike from Callie' on page 26.
Callie (Newmont, Dec 2012, http://www.newmont.com/our-investors/reserves-and-resources) has current P&P reserves of 2.22mOz (underground) and produced 2mOz from open pit up to 1999 (http://www.portergeo.com.au/database/mineinfo.asp?mineid=mn225). Don't know how much between then and now, but Newmont reports around 200kOz pa recently for Callie.
Callie ore is contained in narrow bands of quartz steeply dipping to south and extending in ENE direction (http://www.portergeo.com.au/database/mineinfo.asp?mineid=mn225). ABU has leases SSW and ENE of Callie. Assuming that the ore body extends that far, could be a nice reserve waiting to be confirmed. Might not be viable at current POG, but would certainly add to SP if large additional reserves are confirmed. We do know that the ABU geotech team are experts at finding quartz which bodes well for future discoveries in the locality.
Was anyone at the D and D conference listening to Darrens presentation? I was hoping the presentations would be added to the website, but not so far.
