No, not seperate structures. All the same structure with inter-related compartments. As Ya pointed out in an earlier post, it's like slices in a loaf of bread. All the slices belong to the same loaf, some a little higher some a little lower but the same loaf. Most large structures do have different compartments. They are all inter-related. Not uncommon at all.
