If COP want to buy up to 20% from all the short termer holders that are running to the door to exit at under $8 then I say good luck to them as it will bring less volatility to the SP. Those of us that see the enormous upside to KAR over the next 12 months will be happier and this would give the market more confidence in KAR with COP holding(as if the results aren't enough).
It seems decidedly odd to see that the KAR SP can't keep up with the all ords. for 2 days in a row, esp. after the recent positive drilling outcomes. You could be excused from thinking that we were still waiting on Kronos testing results.
I can only put the odd trading results down to the current volatility in world markets.
