    Denial,
The markets are "possibly" getting close to a bottom.

The funds are stopping redemptions which means they don't have to keep dumping shares. A lot of their investments are now mainly down to long term property, infrastructure etc. Super funds have been holding contribution inflows as cash, and at the current levels of bluechips, they are getting set to buy over the next 2 quarters. They will be fairly specific in what they are buying though.

The constant redemptions and cash outflow was forcing funds around the globe to keep dumping equities in order to meet redemptions but as they are gradually freezing funds globally, the dumping may be slowing soon.
It's wiser in the long run to freeze redemptions rather than keep dumping stocks and taking massive losses on them.

It can't come soon enough- but Buffet is buying, Soros has said he thinks we have seen the worst and the banks are starting to interlend and interbank rates are declining.
The worst may be over, it hasn't been pleasant.

Good luck if you're cashed up and buying whatever.
