I remember seeking a rental property some 12 months ago. There was about 30 vacancies, 18 of which had been taken for some time. When I got irate with one real estate agent he said "we usually just leave them up and its a way of people making contact with us, there figure of available rentals is closer to 35% of what we advertise.
