at present i just re rented one of our investment properties in rockingham in WA with a rent increase of 26% since 6 months ago to $350 per week for a 3x1 average condition. i advertised it privately and had 12+ responses within a week.it was vacant for 1 day. we are also looking at buying a new PPOR and renting out our current PPOR. A initial ad placed for a 5x1 returned 3 ads within a hour and that was for $450 p/w. to my mind looking at the perth rental market there is a severe shortage of rental properties in certain suburbs whiach can demand any amount of rent and that is not kept to the historical affluent suburbs
