This time I agree with your remarks. It goes to illustrate my point about the quality of the management.

The ego, or hubris, or arrogance in some of these companies can go both ways, not negotiating adequately, or trying too hard to hang on to too much. The old 100% of nothing syndrome which I’ve observed and commented on re other companies. Both are examples of management out of their depth with negotiations and unaware of it. IMO there may be some of this here.

One of the benefits of a partner like Mitsubishi is that they are keen to avoid China-dependence and so the usual supply and demand formula can be ignored for awhile, meaning that price is out of the equation initially, but you have to recognize this prize and give a bit. It seems this company did not and now have 100% of nothing.

These are just my opinions and I agree with you to DYOR.
