'Professor Colin Masters receives Australia Day Honours
Sydney, 1 February 2017: Actinogen Medical congratulates Professor Colin Masters on being appointed an Officer (AO) in the General Division of the Order of Australia for:
“Distinguished service to medical research through international and national contributions to understanding Alzheimer’s and other neurogenerative diseases”.
Professor Masters is currently on Actinogen Medical, XanamemTM Clinical Advisory Board and is the Executive Director of the Mental Health Research Institute, and a Laureate Professor at the University of Melbourne. He is also the Senior Deputy Director of the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, and a consultant at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He has focused his career on research in Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases. With over 35 years’ experience, he is widely acknowledged as having had a major worldwide influence on Alzheimer’s disease research and the causes of the disease.
