No, I'm not really of that mindset. I think you're reasonably familiar with my posts so that's a pretty rough accusation. I'm opinionated definitely, but not manipulative and happy to be fully transparent.
I hold 18 individual stocks and any followers will have seen I'm holding all of CDP, SCG, VCX and URW, the vast majority of which (excluding VCX and a few SCG) were purchased 50% below current prices. CDP is still 10% of my shareholdings and REITS 20%.
All I sold were some CDP "extras" I bought when the prices went down crazily into the 2s and some similar recent purchases of SCG extras in the $2.70s. I explained my reasoning on the VCX thread when I held off buying more. The sales were clearly labelled as a risk measure. I am still long on all 4 REITS and on no occasion have I listed a sentiment of sell for any of them.
You'll have to concede that when 12% of one's entire shareholdings are in a Brisbane single asset REIT and there's suddenly a new Covid strain scare and shutdown announced in Brisbane (when they've been clear for so long) it's not unreasonable to take a few dollars off the table. As it turns out the situation in all states has improved since Friday and I'd expect a reasonably good day for all local REITs tomorrow.
