At present according to ASX there is only 200 k short....but what is really short?

You make a very good point re: is it simply those that got the CR to close out their shorting of the stock to simply do it again? ( look to our majors lending the stock to people here it has happened i would suspect)

That is what intrigues me..understand KAR saw a shorting opportunity ( no news flow..cash weak etc ) and took the opportunity to raise to circumvent this...yet you could well be right.

Hence my absolute amazement at things from the Company like no resource upgrade for 6-12 months..Mark Smith wants to keep things close to his chest etc etc...whom are you alerting to the lack of SP vaulting news for KAR?

Whether that is the case or not - to put it in the public domain is breathtaking!


Surely you would be telling people you are closing in on JV in 2 places etc etc...keep them guessing - just like when we are closing in down a hole - shorters are too frightened to play... knowing it is getting close.


May well be the case - but to canvass that to the market after closing down a shorting position simply re:opened it to the same players?

Aside from as you say - if it isn't a major selling and one of the others is lending - double pronged attack ?
