I am kind of hoping that When APRA removes the other $500million capital overlay, WBC will effectively have more cash to lend out without having to raise funds through borrowings. Which in turn will improve the NIM, on top of that if USA reduces rates and we in Aus hold ours at the current levels and lag behind the USA, that could also help WBC and other banks improve their profits as they can source funds at lower interest rates and lend it out at our higher rates.
