FMG like BHP and RIO all go higher when the iron ore price goes up like any other miner of what ever they are selling.
Currently IO up and down like a yoyo which is why these 3 stocks are going up and down with the ore price.
Other factors can play a part too. USA spending $500b on setting a 40% reduction which sends the market upwards
and equally when a war or threats are made by a county to another that can cause markets to get the jitters no
matter how high the ore price is.
Reporting season often sees stocks rise even if ore prices fall.
Potential dividends sends stocks higher too but sometimes nothing happens with
a stock like last time when it was only 86c its didn't drop like a brick 6 months earlier when
the divvy was $2.11
FMG in the coming years swill be an energy exporter making fart more money than its iron ore
and likely fatter dividends.
However if China was to invade Taiwan then all bets are off.
Each to their own madness.
