I absolutely agree that FMG does not receive the 58% price as well.
SSF tends to receive a price similar to the 58% grade. But other products like FBF get more than this.The WPF gets a much higher price than SSF perhaps 15% more.
It is wrong to constantly assert that FMG only produce 58%. We produce a range of different ores.
Anyway the discount to 62% received by 58% has averaged around 15% for the last 3 - 4 months at least.
This contrasts with the 30+% discount to 62% that 58% grade was receiving H122.
According to the SMM analysis produced last night the discount on the spot market for 58% was actually 12.26%!!!!! That is the lowest in a long time & bloody good for FMG.
Has anyone one confirmed 1H AUD : USD average rate and compared it to the 2H22 running average ? Looking at graphs I think it is more than likely to be lower in 2H22 which also helps.
Can't wait for the next Qrtly in July and the annual.
