IMO, the Greens will pick up a half dozen Labor seats
and Labor will likely grab 10 or so Coalition & Independants' seats
which will allow an uneasy Labor/Greens Coalition Government
The Libs & Nats have simply copped too much Flaq over the past
2 years mostly self-inflicted and, besides , they have been in power since 2013 without
doing anything wonderful for the country.
Any mug can trash the credit card and then skite: look at me, look at me!!!!
IMO, the big issues facing the country are:
-The China Relationship
-The tens of thousands of small businesses that have gone to the wall due to Covid
-Foreign Students & Tourism
-A dangerous housing bubble
-A mountain of debt
-Multinationals shunning Aus Tax
Andy Government that takes these issues head-on in a 3 year term
and at least half solves them would, IMO , be doing well.
PS: At this stage coal mining is a red herring because we export almost
80% of our coal and we are market/price takers, not market/price makers.
So the fate of coal mining in Aus is in the hands of the Global Gods.
IMO, the big issue with coal mining in Aus is whether its Aussie owned or foreign
owned and at present its 86 odd % foreign owned.
