Tony was the wrong man at the wrong time. He came at the electorate a bit hard out of the gates. He and Hockey presented a budget that people could not cope with...smoking that cigar did not help. Add that to the dogma of religion and that to an Australian is puke material. His attitude to Turnbull with his supporters makes me dislike him even more. A career pollie who simply did not read the room so to speak. Probably thought with the quality of the opposition that he would be there for 15 years..he was wrong. All said in the grand scheme Tony was not allowed out of the blocks. He is nothing more than a footnote in the History Books worthy of little comment. Certainly Turnbull was not/isn't perfect but he was a hell of a lot more likeable. Just hope Malcolm does not become another Fraser or that other dropkick Hewson in retirement. The jury is out.
