The only player who could overtake and run fbr would be a machine builder. This is possible , but hard to manage as brickworks and the management could block it and have an interest to stay independent, as, at least i think so, brickworks doenst want this tec to move to europe or the us. Since it would undermine their competative advantage.

Liebherr for example would probably prefer to work with Xella or Wienerberger. And Xella and Liebherr have enough money to create an building empire that dominates the international market.

i am sure there other possible possible joint ventures that could be an fundamental threat for brickworks.
That's the reason why I think brickworks took such a huge stake.
