It doesn't surprise me that US $10B chemical giant Albemarle is sniffing around the Forrestania Region.
The Chemical Company is seeking to develop "Next Generation Technologies" to improve capacity and power densities of batteries. Lithium/sulfur and lithium/air technologies have successfully proven their potentials. New materials are under development to satisfy the requirements and support the successful next generation of lithium technology.
Kidman and Western Areas both offer Lithium and high grade Sulphur chemicals which could propel both stocks.
Speaking at the company’s annual meeting, Mr Lougher said Western Areas was watching the global battery market with a view to offer new products and grow its revenue base.
