Absolutely right. I was stung by all the hype that Woodside was going to free-carry PCL in 2004.
I bought at 9.1 cents and watched it go to about 22 cents (I think) but I didn't sell because I swallowed all that about WPL and PCL doing a deal.
Before it dived I saw it drift down to something like 17 or 14, can't remember now, before the trading halt was called.
Turned out the free-carry didn't happen and I ended up selling at a loss for about 7 something when it finally re-opened for trading after the halt.
A lesson I will never forget.
Even then they were touting it as the next HDR, what a load of ...
