Binwood,
I need to speak with my accountant, but is it more cost effective to rent a shed with a shower, toilet and microwave and claim the rental as an office from where you do share trading?
I am just surmising that maybe the property market is a bit overpriced and that renting is more affordable if you can claim tax deductions. Also there are no repairs, body corporate, rates, water and if the neighbours suck you can easily move.
It also frees up capital for the stock market, physical GOLD & SILVER, plus cash is not tied up.
Then again I am writing from the perspective of an immature single bloke with no responsibilities or dependants. If you are married with kids they may for some funny reason complain about living in shed.![]()
