cif got sold down to 2.30 on less than 1 million volume. seriously, WTF???
clearly the shorts are trying to force cif down so cgf is forced to issue a profit downgrade. imo a profit downgrade is now inevitable now that cif has breached the $3 barrier. i hate to think where the shorts will push her down when she downgrades. probably about $1.80 i'd say
it's a pity because i was actually very impressed with the way cif has handled itself. they sold all those non-core assets above NAV and are now debt free at the group level.
it seems cif walked away from the takeover because the price wasn't right.
