    "However you need to realise that Sydney and Melbourne are becoming much larger cities than they were when previous generations were growing up. They are now verging on (or already are) global cities whereas half the world didn't even know where they were 50 years ago. What this means is that the affordable suburbs are moving further out."

    Never ceases to amaze how such simple little concepts are lost on some, combined with population growth in these cities, I can only shake my head when some expect price ratios to go back to some fantasy 1940s level of 3x income...or as Massey states 100 year averages

    I can understand the frustration of some, especially those that were waiting for the "crash" only to have to make new arrangements...even leave Sydney or Melbourne for good.

    Some have been left behind listening to Muppets like Steve Keen and Harry Dent
