Angle I reckon even if the gold price was down $100 the end result would still have been the same. The potential upside from resource upgrade, the new buying created by continued marketing activities by management, and the anticipation of upcoming results, weighs more heavilly and translates into a larger shareprice movement than if the gold price goes up or down a few bucks...
If gold breaks out in a BIG way, then we may see some buying generated from this event. But I feel the re-rating will continue regardless as the value is still enormous even with a gold price as low as circa $800.
PIR's neighbours run some of the lowest cost gold mines in Africa, and in the world!
Just my opinion Angle, at the end of the day it doesn't matter what makes it go up as long as it does, u and I hold, and make more ca$h! PIR is turning out to be quite the cash cow!
