Always possible but unlikely I would have thought - takeover targets are less attractive if their main asset/operation is a JV. It could be nervous investors selling due to the lack of an update about commencing production - totally understandable and Alara is its own worst enemy here - they really need a kick up the bum from shareholders about their poor/lack of communication about what is going on - I'm certainly not happy about it. The other possibility is that it is retail investors that have overspent at Christmas and now need some cash to pay credit card bills etc.

If the pisspoor communication continues then the next AGM might be a bit spicy - there was a brief spurt of communication and publicity a couple of months back that was good and then it has dropped off again back to the usual Alara lack of communication. They aren't doing anything to help grow the share price which in turn rewards shareholders.
