Hotstocks You express a great deal of confidence in your knowledge about polling however - I wondered when you say " rings the public at random " 1. rings - would that be land line, mobile or skype? as I imagine different demographics use different modes of communication. 2. public at random - how is that achieved? white pages? indian call centre lists? It has occured to me that polls should be more sophisticated than you say to be effective and that they are designed to measure data at a point not " reflect anything" Various interpretations of data may give you " anything " I have heard it said that the only true poll is the one on election day.
