It’s early days and the details have not been confirmed – but our rough calcs show Repsol’s discovery could be in the hundreds of millions of barrels…
Repsol farmed into this acreage for $768M a few year back.
The oil major’s new discovery is a mere 50 miles from 88E’s acreage…
Meanwhile, we are expecting 88E’s direct neighbour “Great Bear Petroleum” to release their drilling results - any day now.
88E is now fast tracking their very own drilling programme, and the increased attention in the area following Repsol’s discovery has got us wondering:
Is a farmout for 88E just around the corner?
