Reality is not your strong suit @colinchi....
Galaxy has a five year binding contract with multiple customers across Asia for 200,000 tonnes minimum per annum of spodumene concentrate +/-10%. The only other variable (apart from the 10%) is the price, which is negotiated Q4 each year.
In plain english, the customers have entered into contracts which guarantee they purchase spod for five years. No details of how payments are structured have been released but Mitsubishi handle the contract settlements. Considering that they have guaranteed the purchase it is not unreasonable at all to negotiate shipment dates to suit the customers , they will be paying what they have agreed regardless.
Whether the payments are made when the shipment is made or they are using Afterpay really doesn't matter, particularly as GXY are currently sitting on a pile of cash and lumpiness in cash flow is not a problem.
Galaxy can't just scout around for customers to sell spod to - IT'S ALREADY SOLD!
When it is shipped is simply an academic exercise.
