My formula is close enough to see the huge profits being made per tonne of IO pellets shipped.
Obviously the audited financial report will detail exactly what the profits, income and costs are. However, I learnt in my 40 years in business that overall its the bank balance and debt levels that show how profitable a business is.
I much prefer increasing cash in the bank than a negative one.
Many of the expenses are already included as they're paid as bills become due, tax is one cost that may not be included in the quarterly as it maybe due later.
Obviously the $177 million extra in profits for Grange far exceeds a loss of $47 million by another iron ore miner.
