    Hi JW, I read it as Gross registered tonnage which I believe is a measure of the ships internal volume, would you believe.

    Anyway here is a link to substantiate my believe

    So if it's a volume measure we would then need to know how heavy a cubic metre of Lithium is to work out the actual weight that it can take, also we would need its net registered tonnage to exclude living quarters etc. Probably some scientist types out there that could assist on the Lithium weight bit.
