Technically correct, tho there are rising volume/price triggers. Used as confirmation of trend reversal entry. Also there are shorts stop loss to be trigered, which work in reverse.
Generally, SP will regain losses much faster then it took to push it down.
Excluding significant events, like profit downgrades, etc.
