Not many shares are sold short. I haven't got the data for yesterday but the day before there was only 5% shorted. Again I think the slide of the SP is due to people who really want to get out. Also, today's big rebound in DOW will NOT help LNC. It will go under 1.40 shortly.
I hold quite a bit of LNC, 100K of them to be exact. To the "never deliver" fact, I think it is always in SH & company's interest to deliver good news ASAP. Market likes to misinterpret things and unfortunately LNC is in the mist of all lost confidence. Still, the reason for hold lies on FA.
1, It has the most advanced UCG and only workable GTL in AU. 2, SP largely backed by assets, and it will sold at some point. 3, New people hired, set for a median term bull run.
PB is not a man of his words, unfortunately. He can be all mighty at boom time and make the best of the bubble but also is wasted in turbulence times such as now. A man with a heart of a boy.
