COPPER-GOLD EXPLORATION RE-COMMENCES AT SPRINGFIELD TARGETING VMS POTENTIAL ADJACENT TO HIGH-GRADE DEGRUSSA DISCOVERY

"Talisman Mining Limited (ASX: TLM) is pleased to announce the commencement of a staged exploration program at its 100%-owned Springfield Project (previously known as the Sakaladis Project), located in the northern Murchison Goldfield of Western Australia.

The Springfield Project is located approximately 150km north east of Meekatharra and adjacent to Sandfire Resources Ltd’s Doolgunna Project, which hosts the recently discovered DeGrussa high-grade copper-gold volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposit.

Initial reconnaissance exploration by Talisman at Springfield has identified the continuation of the same prospective Upper Narracoota Volcanic Formation through the Springfield Project area, which lies immediately east of the Doolgunna Project.

The recent discovery of high-grade copper-gold mineralisation at DeGrussa, combined with the fact that this style of deposit typically occurs in clusters, has opened up Talisman’s Springfield Project as one of the most prospective exploration properties in Western Australia for highgrade VMS deposits."
