"young people of today..." is the same thing the older generation said about every one of your generation. Whereas the blatantly obvious trend is that the younger generations are in reality progressing and are far more 'acceptable'. What were our great great grand parents generation doing with their slaves, or perhaps marching aboriginals off the cliffs, women are allowed to vote in our great grand parents generation...aboriginals allowed to vote in our grand parents generation and sexual abuse of women and children is almost unpunished. By no means are we 100% now but I certainly don't want to go back to those 'good ol days'..

And I agree that it is things like fuel that should be taxed more so than things like wages.
