You're right there nro, they are now committed to getting a mining industry up and running and supporting their fragile economy - Greenland Minerals and their Kvanefjeld project will be a big contributor to that end.

A lot more wealth will be created and big improvements in their standard of living will be the end results, none of which, would have been possible from their struggling fishing industry and Danish handouts.

Diversification and exploiting your mineral wealth (if you've got it) is the name of the game, to help stabilize the economic cycle, imo.
