This move will help VOC become the fourth telco who has the submarine cable connection in Australia.
VOC wants to be another vertical integrated telco like Optus, TPG and Telstra.

I understand its capital return in these years is huge...But I like TPG more.
For 7-8 years time until 2015 June, TPG only asked shareholders for $68 millions to do acquisition and earned aound $1 billion free cash flow. VOCUS asked for $104 millions but only produced 18 million free cash flow. It means for every one new dollar they asked for from shareholders, TPG produce $15 dollars (1000/68) and VOCUS produced only 17 cents (18/104).

I could be very wrong because the market now gives VOC around 38 PE but only 29 to TPG.
